MUSIC HISTORY
PRECINCT Features two
outdoor patios at each entrance with ample seating.
PRECINCT began
presenting live music on a regular basis in the Fall of 2007 when
the club was under different management and called Toast
Lounge.
The famed Tir na nOg, a Union
Square Irish bar that featured some of Boston's best live music,
sadly closed it's doors in April of 2007. After a four month
sabbatical it's promoter Robert Elliott proposed featuring music
in Toast Lounge. The idea was a success in marrying great
performers with a great space.
New management began in November,
and the nightclub's focus shifted towards a neighborhood friendly
bar & club with some of the best live music in town. Seldom
a cover with varied styles of music, the Tir na nOg lived on as Toast.
During the winter of 2007/8 Toast underwent
management changes, major renovations, and became PRECINCT in
March of 2008. Major upgrades of the front bar (It was
gutted) were undertaken and a new sound & lighting system, stage
and DJ booth were installed shortly thereafter ensuring PRECINCT
commitment to the live music scene in Boston.
Additional information is
available from the music booker.
